Hydrocarbon Resins

Hydrocarbon resins are a family of synthetic polymers that made from petroleum based feedstocks. They are used in applications such as paint, printing ink, adhesives and coatings. The main groups of hydrocarbon resins are:

  • Aliphatic resins, C5
  • Aromatic resins, C9
  • Pure Monomer Aromatic resins, PMR
  • Dicyclopentadiene
  • Or a mixture of these
