The Hydrocarbon Resins, Rosin Resins and Pine Chemicals Producers Association (HARRPA) has been formed more than 25 years ago as a non-profit making international Sector Group. It operates within the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) structure.

The HARRPA resins regroup 16 member companies in Europe for a total yearly production of more than 1 million tons and a total turnover around 1,5 billion euros.

The members have 32 production sites in Europe and employ more than 3000 people.

The main objectives of this Sector Group are:

• Maintain a positive image for the products by promoting their safe and proper use.
• Enable a technical dialogue between members, with other parts of CEFIC and with other industry associations to support its responsibility on safety matters and Responsible Care ® principles.
• Monitor legislative and technical developments relative to products within the scope of HARRPA.
• Conduct studies and collect information for presentation to the European Commission and other authorities to resolve issues of concern.
