Wrap it up!

Resins are widely used with Polypropylene film. Their addition allows for the production of the thin films we know, for example wrapping and protecting new goods we buy.

The addition of resins to polypropylene film enhances its mechanical properties like stiffness and contribute to optical properties by increasing gloss and optical clarity of plastic finished products. A very important function by mixing resin with plastics is to bring barrier properties to the final product against gas and moisture.

Fully hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins comply with the EU plastics directive which testifies that they can be used safely with products in direct contact with food.
